As suppliers to the workplace industry, Stansons have built a strong culture around helping designers create better work environments. The brief for their website was clear: they needed to create an online hub to connect product information, articles, podcast episodes, and service details, while fostering a community spirit. There was a requirement to include Stansons’ creative activity across channels such as their ‘Space’ podcast and magazine, unifying them with an updated product website, ensuring all digital and physical communications, like their ‘Collection’ brochure, were represented cohesively. Their vision was a platform to share, connect, and amplify their innovative spirit.
We combined brand understanding with UX expertise to structure, design and build an effective digital experience. Through collaborative research, including discussions and focus groups with Stansons’ audience, we identified a key insight: designers and specifiers need to make decisions quickly and require tools that simplify their process. An online destination offering easy access to specs, swatches, comparison tools, and project examples was essential to meet their needs. We focused on transforming this insight into a practical solution. We developed an extensive content database within an intuitive structure, featuring a front-end design with tools and downloads that support designers and meet Stansons’ goal of deeper audience connection.
Our interpretation for their website is a digital space like a private members’ club – a place for connection, curated content, and inspiration. We delivered a new site structure with clear, key sections. We redesigned the product database for better relationships between product groups and types. A new digital identity was developed to extend Stansons’ existing visual identity with an updated colour palette for improved contrast and interaction, alongside new typography and UI elements for diverse display and interaction needs. Key features now include easy downloads of resources like ‘Space’ magazine and a filterable image gallery, making the site functional and engaging, and a valuable connection between Stansons and their audience.
The new Stansons’ digital hub is already demonstrating its value. Designers are actively using the new tools and resources, signalling a positive reception and the platform’s intuitive appeal. It’s empowering Stansons to connect more deeply with their community and share their story with impact and authenticity.
